The College of DuPage is a comprehensive community college located 27 miles west of downtown Chicago, vitally connected to our local area for over 50 years. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

College of DuPage seeks a full-time, tenure track faculty member to teach Dance courses starting in August 2026.

College of DuPage's Dance program provides an education that is centered in rigorous training, creative research, body mechanics, diverse aesthetics and scholarship creating a versatile, multi-faceted dancer. Courses include Dance Appreciation, Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Tap, Production & Performance, Choreography/Composition, Pedagogy, Technology, and Hip-Hop.

We are actively seeking innovative, collaborative colleagues who regularly examine their pedagogy and practices in order to foster more equitable, accessible, and inclusive student learning.

Faculty duties include classroom instruction, assessment, curriculum development, advising students, professional inquiry, committee work and engaging with instructional technology.

Teaching assignments include face-to-face classes in-person at our Glen Ellyn campus during days, evenings and weekends. Faculty positions may not be fully remote.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Dance (MFA or MA), or a Master's degree plus 18 semester hours of graduate level credit in Dance is required.
  • Teaching experience teaching Dance in a community college is preferred
