Job Description

Step into a pivotal role as a PICU Registered Nurse in Marietta, Georgia, where your clinical mastery and compassionate leadership will help fragile hearts recover and families find hope during their most challenging moments. In this high-stakes specialty, every shift is a chance to apply advanced life-sustaining care, partner with a multidisciplinary team, and guide new nurses as they grow in expertise. Your work will weave technical precision with empathetic communication, ensuring that every child receives not only expert medical attention but also the reassurance of a steady, confident presence. This opportunity invites you to leave a lasting imprint on countless lives while elevating your professional journey in a supportive, forward-thinking environment.

Georgia’s beauty and spirit are part of your everyday backdrop. The Peach State offers a diverse landscape that ranges from the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains to vibrant urban centers and serene coastal plains. In Georgia, you can unwind at scenic parks after a demanding shift, explore a thriving arts scene, savor Southern hospitality, and experience communities that celebrate family, education, and resilience. Whether you’re drawn to the historic charm of metro Atlanta neighborhoods or the family-friendly warmth of Marietta’s communities, this state provides a balanced, enriching place to live and work.

Located in the Atlanta metro area, Marietta combines convenient access to premier medical facilities with a family-oriented, culturally rich community. You’ll enjoy proximity to top-tier hospitals, excellent schooling options, and abundant outdoor recreation—yet you’re still connected to the bustle of a major city. The role also offers the flexibility to work in various locations across the United States, exposing you to a spectrum of PICU teams, protocols, and environments. This variety strengthens clinical judgment, expands professional networks, and broadens your leadership capabilities, all while you return to Georgia with fresh perspectives and renewed confidence.

In this role, you’ll lead critical care for critically ill pediatric patients, including ventilated children, those requiring vasoactive support, and patients with complex multisystem needs. You’ll perform comprehensive assessments, interpret hemodynamics, manage lines and devices, titrate therapies, and coordinate with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and family members to craft compassionate, evidence-based care plans. You’ll document, educate families about diagnoses and procedures, and participate in rounds to align on goals of care. The position emphasizes hands-on skill development in the PICU’s fast-paced environment, with ongoing opportunities to expand into subspecialty areas and take on increased responsibilities as you demonstrate proficiency and leadership. Your growth will be supported by structured mentorship, continuing education opportunities, and access to cutting-edge pediatric critical care resources.

Compensation and benefits are designed to recognize your expertise and commitment. The weekly pay range for this assignment is $1,493 to $1,576, reflecting competitive market rates for highly skilled PICU nursing. In addition, you may be eligible for a bonus, and housing assistance is available to help you settle comfortably wherever your assignments take you. The contract emphasizes flexibility with duration measured in weeks and the possibility of extension based on performance, unit needs, and your own career goals. A full package of travel and assignment support is provided, including a dedicated 24/7 support team to assist you throughout your travels with the company. While this travel role offers exciting professional variety, you’ll also benefit from a stable framework that prioritizes your safety, well-being, and upward mobility. It’s a chance to build confidence, refine leadership skills, and demonstrate the high standard of care that defines PICU nursing.

The company values empower staff to advance professionally within a supportive, collaborative culture. You’ll find a workplace that respects experience, encourages inquiry, and provides mentorship and resources to help you accelerate toward your long-term goals. Expect transparent communication, a focus on work-life balance where possible, and a commitment to cultivating a thriving, inclusive team where every nurse’s contribution is valued.

Ready to take this next step? If you’re a dedicated PICU RN ready to impact pediatric patients’ lives while expanding your expertise across diverse settings, apply now and join a team that prioritizes your clinical excellence and professional development. Embrace the opportunity to grow, travel, and lead as you shape the future of pediatric critical care.

Please note: The hours and pay rates listed are estimates and may vary. Final compensation packages and guaranteed hours will be confirmed during the hiring process.
