**Description** SAIC is seeking a **Test Engineer** with significant software test and integration expertise to support our Joint Range Extension (JRE) program. JRE is a software product supporting all branches of the DoD and several international customers. JRE provides the routing and display of Tactical Data to the warfighter. Our test team supports testing and integration of hardware and software systems. Successful candidates will have significant DoD testing and test-oriented integration experience, excellent communication and team skills, and will be expected to continually balance work priorities to meet rapidly evolving customer needs and tight deadlines. Familiarity with Tactical Data Links (TDL) associated with Military Standards 6016, 6020, 6011 and 3011 is desirable. **This is an on-site position located in San Diego, CA.** **Specific Duties:** + Test-oriented systems integration, verification, and validation. + Test results analysis, performance analysis, and concise reporting. + Perform test-oriented project support to enable integration of TDL systems. + Generation of requirements, test plans, and procedures. + Contribute to the electrical design, test, and integration of hardware. + Demonstrate software to potential customers, integration partners and management **Qualifications** **Qualifications:** + Experience with Military Standards and interface protocols desired. + Experience with networking concepts and protocols. + Experience supporting Microsoft Office, Windows OS and Linux OS. + Familiarity with Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word Software. + Understanding of Network, System Integration and Test Environment software. + UHF Tactical Radio operation experience is a plus. + Strong interpersonal, communication (oral and written), and presentation skills. + Desired familiarity with JIRA, Confluence. **Required Education and Experience:** + Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering desired. + 3+ years of relevant systems engineering experience (BSEE), 8+ years otherwise. + Ability to obtain a Secret clearance within 18 months of start date, interim clearance in 6 months; Active Secret clearance preferred. Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
