Job Description
**About the role and team**
This role is about transforming how the **Global People Partner Organization** uses data to drive its strategy and impact. You're not just producing reports; you are the embedded analytical consultant who uses HRIS and case data to diagnose systemic issues in our employee experience and service delivery model. The work you do provides leadership with the clear, quantified insights they need to make decisions that impact every employee across Uber, demanding a high degree of precision and accountability for the data's integrity. Our environment is fast-paced, high-stakes, and often ambiguous, which means you'll have the autonomy to build foundational data frameworks that allow the People team to **move fast and with purpose** .
The team operates at the complex intersection of global scale, localized needs, and sensitive data. You'll be constantly challenged to **see the forest and the trees** , translating granular service metrics into strategic, org-wide actions that drive scalability and efficiency. Success here requires a champion mindset, **grit** , and the ability to influence without direct authority across People Operations, Business Leadership, and HR Tech teams. This is a place to **grow with the challenge** by owning the data narrative for Uber's most critical people programs.
**What you'll do**
+ **Architect** the data strategy and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for core global People Partner programs, defining what success looks like and how to measure it under conditions of ambiguity and high urgency.
+ **Diagnose** systemic employee experience blockers and service delivery inefficiencies by analyzing trends in large-scale HRIS and global case management data, and present prescriptive, actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
+ **Build** and **maintain** robust, self-service reporting dashboards (using tools like Tableau or Looker Studio) that empower People Partners and business leaders to make informed, data-driven decisions without needing ad-hoc support.
+ **Lead** cross-functional problem-solving with People Operations to re-engineer HR service delivery models, ensuring clean data capture and management that scales globally and maintains **One Uber** data integrity.
+ **Communicate** complex analytical narratives clearly and succinctly-both verbally and in writing-to non-technical senior executives during operational business reviews and strategic planning sessions.
+ **Own** the end-to-end quality and transparency of People data, proactively identifying and resolving data integrity issues to establish a reliable single source of truth for the entire People Partner function.
**Basic qualifications**
+ **4+ years** of demonstrated experience in a data analyst role, specifically supporting Human Resources or a global business function, is required.
+ **Bachelor's degree** in a quantitative field (e.g., Data Analytics, Business, Computer Science, Math/Statistics) is required or relevant experience
**Preferred qualifications**
+ Experience in data querying and manipulation using SQL to manage and analyze large, complex datasets is required.
+ Experience developing, maintaining, and presenting reports and dashboards using professional visualization tools such as Tableau, Google Looker Studio, or a similar platform is required.
+ Proficiency with Generative AI tools (e.g., LLMs, prompt engineering) for data analysis, reporting, or process optimization, with an understanding of related data privacy and ethical considerations.
+ Experience working within and analyzing data from major HRIS (Workday, Oracle) and HR case management (ServiceNow, Zendesk) tools.
+ Demonstrated ability to translate high-level business problems into precise analytical requirements and technical data solutions.
+ Experience influencing stakeholders and driving consensus on data strategy across diverse functional and geographic teams.
+ Ability to **thrive through constant change** and balance the need for meticulous detail with the urgency of a fast-moving business environment.
For Chicago, IL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$114,000 per year - USD$127,000 per year. You will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
