We're looking for a passionate and skilled Special Education Teacher to join our dynamic virtual learning program. Position Overview:
As a Special Education Teacher in our virtual program, you will create and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to students with various learning needs. Your role will involve providing specialized instruction through virtual platforms and collaborating with other educators to ensure the success of each student. The ideal candidate will have strong online teaching skills, a deep understanding of special education, and a high level of technological proficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and deliver engaging, student-centered instruction tailored to individual learning needs via virtual platforms.
Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in alignment with both state and federal regulations.
Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure appropriate accommodations and modifications are provided.
Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of student progress and achievement.
Facilitate virtual meetings with parents, staff, and other stakeholders to discuss student progress and strategies for success.
Offer advice and support to parents/guardians regarding effective learning strategies and tools.
Actively engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to team meetings to enhance instructional practices.
Required Qualifications:
Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
A valid South Carolina teaching license with a Special Education endorsement.
At least 2 years of teaching experience in a school environment.
Proficiency in using virtual learning platforms and educational technology to engage students.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and staff.
Proven experience in developing and executing IEPs.
Ability to work independently while staying closely connected with team members.
