Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and seasoned professional to fill the role of Senior Tax Accountant. This opportunity is ideal for a dedicated individual ready to offer expert financial insight to clients within the NYC metro area. The position allows for remote work arrangements, with periodic in-person meetings in New York City, ensuring flexibility while maintaining client engagement.

Core Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee client payment processes and efficiently handle tax notices.
• Conduct thorough bank reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
• Prepare and post journal entries, manage accruals, and support the monthly financial close process.
• Reconcile general ledger and sub-ledger accounts, addressing discrepancies with precision.
• Draft corporate tax returns and compile essential documentation to ensure tax compliance.
• Support additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

• 3-6 years of experience in a CPA firm setting.
• CPA certification is preferred, or completion of 150 credit hours in related coursework.
• Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong proficiency in accounting and tax practices.
• Exceptional organizational, analytical, and customer service skills.
• Bilingual proficiency in French, Mandarin, or Spanish is an advantage.
