Senior System Administrator -Midlevel-- Fulltime --(H1B/OPT Accepted)

Location: Austin, TX (Remote)

Duration: Long Term

Experiance: 3-5

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior System Administrator to join our IT team. You will play a pivotal role in managing, maintaining, and optimizing our critical IT infrastructure to ensure smooth business operations.

Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and maintain on-premises and/or cloud-based servers, operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.), and network devices.
Perform system administration tasks including user account management, security patching, system backups, and disaster recovery procedures.
Monitor system performance, identify potential issues, and troubleshoot hardware and software problems proactively.
Automate routine system administration tasks using scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash) for increased efficiency (Preferred).
Implement and enforce security best practices to safeguard systems and data from cyber threats.
Provide technical support to internal users and resolve their IT-related issues efficiently.
Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for future reference.
Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in operating systems, system administration tools, and security practices.
Collaborate effectively with other IT professionals and stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.

Qualifications:

3-5+ years of demonstrably successful experience as a System Administrator or a related role.
Strong understanding of system administration principles and best practices.
In-depth knowledge of Windows Server and/or Linux administration.
Experience with network administration concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
A commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with the evolving IT landscape.
