Position Description:

The Senior Salesforce Developer handles designing, developing, implementing, and supporting customized Salesforce applications and related workflows. This will include being the administrator for Salesforce and related third-party applications that use the Salesforce platform, meeting with project managers, analyzing project aims, working with Salesforce vendors, creating customer workflows, keeping user roles, and troubleshooting application errors. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Application Development & Support -
    • Work closely with functional areas and 3rd party vendors to coordinate changes through development, testing, and deployment. 
    • Creates business and technical requirements documents and conducts reviews of these requirements to communicate and manage enhancements to functionality. 
    • Develop and keep dashboards, reports, and visualizations as requested by functional areas.
    • Troubleshoot issues, develop solutions and coordinate resolution with internal technical staff as well as 3rd party staff. 
    • Perform routine administrative and maintenance activities as needed which includes monitoring of operations and performance. 
    • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in the Salesforce and associated systems such as SQL Server and Heroku. 
    • Monitor data quality and implement processes to improve data accuracy and consistency. 
  • Technical Leadership
    • Develop an in-depth understanding of the current solutions and architecture. 
    • Evaluate internal processes, procedures, and practices to proactively propose solutions that reduce duplicate work and manual processes. And increase reuse and quality. 
    • Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in Salesforce and suggest improvements.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, statistics, mathematics, computer science, or a related field.
  • One or more salesforce.com (SFDC) Certifications with Advanced Certifications a plus 
  • 3 years of technical working experience in Salesforce 
  • Strong working knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle 
  • Experience with mobile application development.

Skills Requirements:

  • 3 years of technical working experience in Salesforce 
  • Strong working knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle 
  • Experience with mobile application development. 

Additional/Desirable Skills & Abilities: 

  • Experience with Salesforce Web Services APIs.
  • Experience with Salesforce Lightning development. 
  • Data modeling, management, and security 
  • Deep understanding of issues surrounding data security and best practices for balancing availability with security. 
  • Experience in a Government setting.
