Responsibilities

The Enteric Neurosciences Program at Mayo Clinic Rochester, MN seeks a research associate to join a successful and highly collaborative team. Along with conducting laboratory research, this role seeks taking scientific leadership of the projects and supporting other team members including research technologists, post-doctoral fellows, and students. The projects are geared around gastrointestinal neurobiology and physiology with an overarching goal of understanding human conditions like gastroparesis, particularly in the setting of diabetes mellitus. We seek a candidate with a PhD in immunology, neuroscience, or physiology. The preferred technical requirements for this position are firsthand experience with tissue imaging, flow cytometry, single cell -omics, systems biology, and whole animal physiology. 

Qualifications

Must have a Ph.D., M.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in a field deemed relevant by the program. Requires at least three years of postdoctoral research experience at Mayo Clinic or elsewhere with evidence of publications and other scientific accomplishments.
