Requirements of the Motorcycle/Powersports Technician/Mechanic:

Must have a valid driver license with motorcycle validation and have a clear driving record.
Must maintain a motorcycle inspection certification.
Formal training program such as MMI Service School or equivalent work experience preferred.
Basic and special tools knowledge to properly diagnose and service our products.
Ability to effectively perform repairs properly in a timely manner.

Responsibilities for Motorcycle/Powersports Technician:

Diagnosis, adjustment and repair of motorcycles, ATV’s, scooters, mopeds, dirt bikes, lawnmowers, snowblowers, generators, tillers and trimmers.
Perform set up and pre-delivery inspection.
Perform Pennsylvania State Inspections as required and complete appropriate documentation.
Request parts for the job as early as possible when needs become known.
Perform service, repair, and customization work in accordance with factory standards.
Complete quality repair work within the outlined time period.
Notify management of work needed or any delays in expected completion as soon as they become known so that customers may be contacted and notified.
Communicate with service advisor, and document repair work appropriately.
Test riding to ensure repair is complete and customer satisfaction.
Maintain knowledge base through training and industry readings.
Keep work area clean and stay professional.
