Requirements of the Motorcycle/Powersports Technician/Mechanic:
  • Must have a valid driver license with motorcycle validation and have a clear driving record.
  • Must maintain a motorcycle inspection certification.
  • Formal training program such as MMI Service School or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Basic and special tools knowledge to properly diagnose and service our products.
  • Ability to effectively perform repairs properly in a timely manner.
Responsibilities for Motorcycle/Powersports Technician:
  • Diagnosis, adjustment and repair of motorcycles, ATV’s, scooters, mopeds, dirt bikes, lawnmowers, snowblowers, generators, tillers and trimmers.
  • Perform set up and pre-delivery inspection.
  • Perform Pennsylvania State Inspections as required and complete appropriate documentation.
  • Request parts for the job as early as possible when needs become known.
  • Perform service, repair, and customization work in accordance with factory standards.
  • Complete quality repair work within the outlined time period.
  • Notify management of work needed or any delays in expected completion as soon as they become known so that customers may be contacted and notified.
  • Communicate with service advisor, and document repair work appropriately.
  • Test riding to ensure repair is complete and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain knowledge base through training and industry readings.
  • Keep work area clean and stay professional.
