Position Title

Maintenance Mechanical Technician

 

Pay Rate :

$35.62 to $46.80/hour  ($.68 to $1.83/hour shift allowance)

 

Multiple factors, including individual experience, skills, and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range.

 

Sign on Bonus :

New hires are eligible for up to $5,000 in relocation assistance for those that relocate more than 75 miles from the Port Wentworth Mill.

The Job You Will Perform:

  • Routine maintenance work
  • Replacing valves & gaskets,
  • Basic welding, repacking pumps & valves
  • Forklift operations, screwed pipe & tubing installations
  • Cylinder repair, pump repair & replacement,
  • Repair of rotating assemblies, roll repair and replacements, motor replacements
  • Repair of mechanical drive systems.

The Skills You Will Bring:

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Eligible for employment in the US
  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent work experience
  • Basic computer skills
  • Able to function in a team environment.
  • 5 or more years of Heavy Industrial Maintenance Experience in any of the following Maintenance Skill Areas: MILLWRIGHT, WELDING, OR PIPEFITTING.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in any of the IP Core Maintenance skills or related disciplines. (Millwright, Welding, OR Pipefitting)
  • Relevant work experience in an industrial environment.
  • Strong math/physics understanding.
  • Millwright backgrounds on the mechanical side.
  • SAP Experience
