Why This Job

CMC is looking for an HR Intern to support our corporate office. As the HR Intern, you will assist with daily HR operations, help support employee activities, and contribute to various HR Projects. This internship will give you a broad understanding of human resources practices and provide you with the tools to start your HR career.

Whether you will spend your day brainstorming in an office cubicle, operating a crane, running manufacturing equipment or troubleshooting technical obstacles, at CMC, you’ll get the training and support from your team that you need to excel in your role and reach your full potential.

What You'll Do

  • Assist Corporate HR Manager with any HR initiatives and projects
  • Participate in a rotational program that will give exposure to compensation, talent acquisition, benefits, HRIS, employee relations, learning and development, and onboarding
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR Department
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while handling sensitive employee information
  • Assist with employee engagement events (planning, setting up, taking down etc.)
  • Be in office a minimum of 4 days a week
  • Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned

What You'll Need

  • Currently pursuing a degree is Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or related field
  • Strong interest in multiple facets of HR
  • Excellent Communication (written and verbal)
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while handling sensitive employee information
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of management and employees across the organization

Your Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Currently pursuing a degree in a related field at an accredited university
