Job Description

WestPoint Financial Group is seeking a Financial Planning Specialist to join our Financial Planning department   in one of our district offices (Chicago, Indianapolis, or Milwaukee). A financial planning specialist provides the highest level of planning services for clients by analyzing each client's goals and financial situation, and makes recommendations to help them meet their short- and long-term financial objectives. The successful candidate will be extremely detail-oriented, exercise a strong ability to accurately assess and prioritize, and demonstrate the ability to self-motivate and exercise independent judgment. The Financial Planning Specialist must be committed to acting as a fiduciary by putting the client's best interests first and will display a commitment to helping our advisors be "best in class."

Responsibilities:

  • Provide financial solutions for clients through fact gathering and needs analysis
  • Utilize financial planning software to test and provide actionable advice to help clients achieve their goals
  • Partner with other specialists around strategy and recommendation creation
  • Expand personal knowledge and skills through ongoing professional development and joint work with associates
  • Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree (required)
  • Financial Planning or Financial Services Experience: 2 years+ (preferred)
  • CFP® certification (preferred)
  • FINRA Licenses - Series 7 and Series 65/66 (preferred)

Salary Range: $70,000 to $80,000
