**Role:** Data Engineer - People Analytics
**Location:** Global (Brazil or United States)
**Reports To:** Global HR Data & Analytics Manager
**Work Authorization:** Must be authorized to work in the U.S. or Brazil without visa sponsorship. Relocation assistance not available.
**Position Summary**
As a Data Engineer within the People Analytics team, you will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures integrating HRIS, IT, and operational systems. Your work enables strategic decision-making through high-quality, analytics-ready data solutions. You will collaborate across HR, IT, and manufacturing teams to ensure data integrity, compliance, and performance optimization.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ **Data Engineering & Integration**
+ Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL, Python, and MS Fabric.
+ Ingest and transform data from HRIS (Dayforce), SharePoint, global timekeeping systems, and industrial sources.
+ Automate workflows and ensure data quality, validation, and monitoring.
+ **Data Modeling & Architecture**
+ Design star schema and dimensional models for HR and operational analytics.
+ Implement scalable data lake and warehouse solutions.
+ Collaborate with Data Architects on governance, security, and accessibility.
+ **Cloud Platform Optimization**
+ Manage data lakes and warehouses in MS Fabric.
+ Optimize compute/storage performance and ensure GDPR and LGPD compliance.
+ **People Analytics Enablement**
+ Build dashboards and tools for HR metrics, workforce planning, and global reporting.
+ Support internal audits and data integrity initiatives.
+ Assist in developing People Analytics methodologies and benchmarking.
+ **Collaboration & Communication**
+ Partner with HR, IT, manufacturing, and analytics teams globally.
+ Translate technical concepts for nontechnical stakeholders.
+ Document processes, reusable components, and best practices.
**Required Skills & Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's or Master's in Data Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
+ 3+ years of experience in data engineering, including leadership on large-scale projects.
+ Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Spark.
+ Experience with MS Fabric or similar platforms (Databricks, Oracle, Dayforce).
+ Experience with Power BI.
+ Strong understanding of data privacy, compliance, and security protocols.
**Preferred Experience**
+ Proficiency in Git/GitHub.
+ Experience with Snowflake, SAP HANA, or Oracle.
+ Familiarity with Azure Data Factory, Power Automate, and Power Platform.
+ HRIS systems (Dayforce, SAP).
+ Microsoft DP-700 Fabric Data Engineer certification.
+ Manufacturing systems and real-time data streaming.
+ People Analytics tools and dashboards.
+ Machine learning integration and feature engineering.
