This hospital is part of a much larger parent company with over thirty hospitals nationwide! This system includes Academic Medical Centers, over 4,000 licensed beds, and $4 Billion dollars in revenue. This 650+ bed flagship facility is looking for a Lab Manager to join their team! This Manager will have 50 people reporting to them, and they will report to the System Director of Laboratory Services, who has been with this system for over FORTY YEARS. This leader started as a Lab Tech herself and has worked her way up the ladder since. This leader is described as someone who remembers all employees, everywhere they’ve been, at all times. Talk about a leader that knows where you’ve been and wants to help get you where you want to go!

The ideal candidate will have at least five years of clinical lab experience in an acute care hospital setting, two years in a leadership capacity. They should have a solid understanding of accreditation requirements for the Joint Commission, experience in validating new testing and instrumentation, and writing policies and procedures for the department.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science or Physical Science OR Associates degree in Medical Laboratory Technician with >5 years of experience in the clinical laboratory and 1+ years in a management or supervisory role
• Laboratory certification from an accredited laboratory certification program:
• CLS, MLS, MT, MLT or equivalent
• 5+ years of clinical laboratory experience as a Medical Technologist, Clinical Laboratory Scientist, Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Laboratory Technician within a clinical laboratory
