Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Claims Adjuster proficient in managing intricate property and casualty insurance claims. In this pivotal role as an individual contributor, you will handle complex claims, ensuring adherence to high standards of quality, accuracy, and timely processing.

Responsibilities:

* Conduct thorough investigations and analysis of complex claims filed under commercial policies.
* Assess the extent of the insurance carrier's liability and detect any potential fraudulent activities.
* Negotiate optimal settlements and authorize payments within prescribed limits.
* Maintain comprehensive documentation of claim files, documenting all actions, findings, and settlement particulars.
* Demonstrate extensive knowledge of policy contracts to accurately interpret and apply policy terms.
* Maintain regular communication with insured parties to facilitate understanding of claim processes and resolution explanations.
* Collaborate effectively with underwriters on significant losses and recommendations for risk improvement.
* Identify suspicious claims and escalate for specialized investigation when necessary.

Requirements:

* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience handling complex claims in commercial, personal injury, and auto/property damage.
* Strong analytical capabilities and meticulous attention to detail.
* Exceptional negotiation skills and effective communication abilities.
* Ability to manage multiple claim assignments independently.
* Commitment to ongoing professional development in insurance designations (CPCU, AIC, etc.).
