Join the SpEd Forms team as part of a fast-paced software development business. SpEd Forms is used every day by thousands of teachers, and we are seeking a talented candidate with exceptional programming skills to join our team.

As a Web Developer, you will quickly and accurately perform programming tasks and provide input to the software developer. You will solve problems following established practices and procedures.

What you'll do:

  • Adhere to company procedures and policies
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of the SpEd Forms product suite
  • Functions collegially with coworkers
  • Produce clean, efficient code based on specifications
  • Maintain and improve existing software
  • Resolve customer support requests related to coding errors
  • Maintains a clean, efficient, professional and productive work environment
  • Takes direction from and reports concerns promptly to Software Developer and Director of Technology
  • Maintains confidentiality, adhering to FERPA and HIPAA guidelines and regulations
Job Requirements
What you'll need:

- To be honest and ethical and work with integrity at all times.
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in computer science (or a closely related field) and at least two years of coding experience.
- Proficient in multiple coding languages, including HTML, JavaScript, PHP, CSS, and SQL.
- Experience with Bootstrap and jQuery is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Resourcefulness and troubleshooting aptitude.
- Ability to learn new languages and technologies.
- Ability to transport self to meetings and schools as needed.
- Demonstrate ability to work independently.
- Demonstrate appropriate human relations skills, judgment and discretion in dealing with customers, coworkers and supervisors.
- To maintain confidentiality, adhere to FERPA and HIPAA guidelines and regulations.
- If you choose to work from home, you must have a dedicated, distraction-free home office.
- Your permanent residence MUST be in South Dakota or Minnesota.

What you’ll receive:

- A full-time position with a starting wage of $35/hour (equivalent to $72,800/year).
- A normal work week of 40 hours. If you are ever asked to work more than 40 hours in a week, you will be paid for the extra hours worked.
