Our client is a comprehensive waste management service firm offering an array of services including hazardous waste characterization and disposal, used oil and tire collection and recycling, automobile dealership services, universal waste disposal, lab chemical disposal, and transportation services. Role Description:
The Operations Manager will be a key leader within the company, driving business growth and territorial expansion. The ideal candidate is business-minded with experience in small to mid-sized companies and is comfortable handling both hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
Key Responsibilities:
· Oversee the day-to-day operations of the company, ensuring all services are delivered efficiently and effectively.
· Drive business growth and expansion into new territories, identifying and capitalizing on market opportunities.
· Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations related to waste handling and disposal.
· Build and foster a high-performing team, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
· Foster strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.
· Provide guidance and expertise in waste management, recycling, and environmental services.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
· Proven experience in a similar role within the waste management, recycling, or environmental services industries.
· Strong understanding of hazardous and non-hazardous waste management processes.
· Experience in managing operations within small to mid-sized companies.
· Proven track record of driving business growth and expansion.
· Exceptional leadership and team-building skills.
· Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
· Business-minded with an ability to identify and seize market opportunities.
· Comprehensive knowledge of federal and state regulations related to waste handling and disposal.
