Job Description

Amartha, a leading financial technology company with the mission to provide Indonesian consumers and entrepreneurs with access to credit. We are seeking a VP of Corporate Finance & Strategy to drive the company's growth and expansion initiatives.

The Vice President of Corporate Finance and Strategy is a multi-dimensional new position, reporting to the CFO, with responsibilities spanning across business functions. The role is responsible for driving growth by creating, assessing and managing business opportunities including, but not limited to acquisitions, mergers, joint ventures and partnerships, and will have a hand in major capital projects.

This senior leader will be responsible for working across the Executive Team, and with other relevant functional leads, on developing and assessing the company’s key strategic priorities.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Work with senior leaders to establish a comprehensive strategic roadmap and implement short and long-term objectives and initiatives to drive business results

  • Lead strategic planning initiatives and ensure alignment with business objectives

  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, market trends, and competitive landscape

  • Developing financial operating reports, such as annual plans, quarterly forecasts, periodic reviews and updates

  • Support key strategic priorities and projects in partnership with the CEO and CFO, and working with other functions and stakeholders as required

  • Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including financial partners, investors, and regulatory bodies

  • Identifying and executing strategic initiatives to optimize Amartha's capital structure, financing, and M&A opportunities

  • Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations in financial management and investments

  • Driving innovation in business processes, tools, and systems to increase efficiency, accuracy, and cost savings

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience in a corporate finance and strategy role within a financial services or related industry
  • MBA or advanced degree in finance, economics, accounting, or related field
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful financial strategies that drove business growth and profitability
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and experience managing teams, with the ability to inspire and influence others
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements and reporting standards in the financial services industry.
