The Department of Political Science at Emory University invites applications for a visiting assistant professor for the 2024-2025 academic year. The Department is seeking an instructor to teach undergraduate courses on public policy and political institutions. We are particularly interested in candidates available to offer courses on public policy process, policy analysis and program evaluation, comparative public policy as well as substantive policy topics such as environmental policy, health policy, poverty and inequality, among others. We are also interested in candidates who could offer courses on the Presidency/Executive Branch governance, American political parties, Congress and the legislative process, state politics and policy, and/or federalism and intergovernmental relations, among others.

Emory University is on a semester system. The successful candidate will be expected to teach five courses and hold regular office hours over the 2024-2025 academic year. Salary is competitive and the position also includes health care benefits.
