Job Description

The Primary Duty of this position is to drive vans to transport participants to and from Nevins .

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned. 

  1. Drives van to destination.
  2. Inspects van equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water, to ensure proper operation.
  3. Maintains equipment as assigned.
  4. Refers problems concerning the people that we serve, including maladaptive behaviors, to appropriate Program Manager or other staff member.
  5. Records and reports incidences and accidents.
  6. Render minor first aid and solicits emergency care when necessary.
  7. Maintains equipment as assigned.
  8. Assists individuals with personal care whenever necessary.
  9. Responds as needed in emergency situations.
  10. Regularly attends staff meetings and required training sessions.
  11. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  Possess a valid NC Driver’s  license.

Salary Range: 14.46  to 15.00 per hour
