Direct Counsel is seeking typists and readers for a project based in California. Candidates will work in various locations throughout California, including Los Angeles, Sacramento, San Francisco, San Diego, and Orange County. This is a temporary assignment lasting 2-4 days.
Job Responsibilities:
Partner with a test taker as a typist, providing necessary support during the examination.
Attend an orientation session in the designated location prior to the assignment.
Type accurately at a minimum speed of 70 words per minute.
Be available to start work at 7:30 am (non-negotiable)
Adapt to varying assignment durations, as some may end sooner or result in early dismissal after orientation.
Requirements:
Previous experience as a typist, legal assistant, legal secretary, paralegal, administrator, or administrative assistant is preferred.
Unemployed individuals or those who can take several days off to assist are encouraged to apply.
Candidates must not be law clerks, interns, or individuals planning to sit for the state bar in the future.

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
