We are inviting applications for two Postdoctoral Research positions (Levels 1 and 2) within the UCD School of Earth Sciences, at University College Dublin, Ireland.
These positions are part of the GEMINI project, funded by the PEACEPLUS European programme, and focus on the study of deep geothermal systems in Ireland.
Position 1: This role will focus on 3D geological modelling of geothermal systems and the characterisation of deep geothermal systems in fractured carbonates and a siliciclastic reservoir. The successful candidate will integrate a wide range of datasets, including 2D seismic reflection data, well data, surface mapping, and geophysical data.
Position 2: This role will involve fluid-flow and heat-flow modelling and calibration, integrating structural geology, sedimentology, and both stochastic and deterministic approaches.
Further details about the positions and instructions on how to apply are available at: . Search for Reference Numbers: 019260 and 019243
General information about the GEMINI project can be found at:
The closing date for applications is 12:00 noon (local Irish time) on 16 January 2026 .
