Job Description

Teneo Linguistics Company is seeking a skilled Translator/Interpreter to join our dynamic team. As a Translator/Interpreter, you will be responsible for accurately translating and effectively interpreting written and spoken communication between two or more languages. Your role will play a crucial part in facilitating effective communication and understanding across languages and cultures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate written documents and materials from source language to target language while maintaining accuracy and preserving the original meaning and intent.

  • Interpret spoken communication accurately and effectively, allowing fluid and clear conversations between parties who do not share the same language.

  • Assist in cultural adaptation, making sure translated content is culturally appropriate.

  • Collaborate with clients and colleagues to ensure understanding and provide solutions for any language-related challenges.

  • Adhere to ethical guidelines and confidentiality standards related to translation and interpretation.

  • Manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and evolving language usage.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in translation, interpretation, linguistics, or a related field.

  • Proficiency in English and Spanish

  • Proven experience as a Translator/Interpreter, with a minimum of 3 years of professional experience.

  • Proficiency in both source and target languages, with strong linguistic and cultural understanding.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Proficient in the use of translation and interpretation tools, software, and resources.

  • Flexibility to work in various settings and adapt to different language requirements.

  • Professional certification or accreditation in translation/interpretation is a plus.
