This recruitment will be used to fill one full-time Temporary Biological Science Research Technician 1 position for the Department of Agricultural Botany and Plant Pathology at Oregon State University ( OSU ).
The position will sit in the College of Agricultural Sciences in the Botany and Plant Pathology unit. Physical work will be performed in Blue River, Oregon. The College of Agricultural Sciences is committed to advancing a climate of diversity, equity, and inclusion.The position exists to complete field work associated with the NSF LTER8 project at the HJ Andrews Experimental Forest in Blue River, OR. The work was halted in July due to a forest fire and evacuation of field workers. The field technician will return to the Andrew's to complete the field work associated with the reciprocal transplant experiment, alongside other techs working towards the same objective. The technician's primary role is to establish seedling plots in burned and unburned sites.
Minimum Qualifications (Staff) / Guidelines (Faculty):
Two years of college-level courses in (specific field of biological science); OR an equivalent combination of training and experience.
