Job Description

OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Technical Writer for a Contract position in  Canada or the United States with a passion for creating and delivering developer-focused technical content. We're looking for a collaborative and creative individual who can craft content that is clear, concise, and relevant.

In this role, you will collaborate with engineers, product managers, and other professionals to understand real-world use cases and challenges. Your mission will be to create technical documentation that helps developers successfully adopt and deploy software solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, develop, edit, and deliver effective and accurate developer documentation.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, QA, Support, and other stakeholders to ensure quality and accuracy of content.
  • Manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks with various teams.
  • Work closely with developers to review and finalize API documentation.
  • Analyze customer feedback to continuously enhance content quality, depth, and relevance.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2-4 years of experience writing developer documentation for Cloud or Enterprise products.
  • Bachelor's degree or certificate in Technical Writing is preferred.
  • Experience writing developer and API documentation.
  • Familiarity with tools like Visual Studio Code, Redocly, or similar documentation platforms.
  • Experience using source control tools such as Git and GitHub and creating content in Markdown and YAML.
  • Strong ability to create real-world, use-case-based content for security or enterprise software.
