The Systems Engineer will join a team providing Life Cycle Sustainment (LCS) and modernization activities for commercial and custom-developed education, learning, and training applications that are vital to the company. The candidate must be a strong systems engineer that has experience working on a software development team with diverse skillsets. This individual must be willing to tackle challenges sometimes without a lot of guidance or information, and collaborating in a fast-paced, highly visible team environment. Primary responsibilities will be working with the Lead Developer and the development team to establish priorities, facilitating agile processes, communicating with team members and end user customers. The individual will need to work with the technical team and Government leadership to prepare schedule inputs, communicate dependencies, impediments, and risks and communicate with the team. This position is 100% Onsite and not Remote.
Systems Engineer Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and 7 years of experience as a Systems Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. 12 years of Systems Engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
Experience executing test procedures.
Experience managing systems in virtual environments such as AWS.
Experience with Atlassian Suite products including Confluence & Managing Jira.
Experience providing system administration support in Windows and Linux environments.
Key Technologies include AWS, .NET, C#, Java, PHP, Linux, Windows, SQL Server, and Oracle.
Experience with Agile development methodologies.
Willingness to learn and develop a strong understanding of new technologies and products.
Experience developing and updating technical documentation including project schedules.
Experience with requirements management to include working with customers to capture clear definition of done.
