Surgery Scheduler | Tulsa, OK 

  • Monday-Thursday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Friday: 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Join our dedicated team, where we provide top-quality care in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology. We are seeking an experienced Surgery Scheduler to ensure smooth and efficient scheduling of surgeries, procedures, and appointments, enhancing patient care and optimizing our surgeons' time.

Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling: Communicate with providers, patients, and hospital staff to schedule surgeries, procedures, and appointments efficiently.
  • Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with all parties involved, ensuring everyone is informed and on the same page.
  • Problem Solving: Address and resolve any scheduling conflicts or issues that arise, ensuring minimal disruption to patient care.
  • Attention to Detail: Accurately enter and manage scheduling information, keeping meticulous records to maximize surgeon time.
  • Organization: Manage multiple priorities and facilitate efficient patient and workflow within the clinic.
  • Authorization: Obtain necessary authorizations for surgeries and procedures.
  • Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance benefits and ensure all necessary information is accurate.
  • Financial Estimates: Create financial estimates for patients and ensure they are informed of any costs involved.
  • Payment Verification: Confirm that payment has been made at least 72 hours prior to surgery.

Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in surgery scheduling, preferably in an Ob/Gyn setting.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Superior organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in obtaining authorizations, verifying insurance benefits, and creating financial estimates.
  • Experience in ensuring payments are made prior to procedures.

* Perform bookkeeping duties, such as credits or collections, preparing and sending financial statements or bills, and keeping financial records.
* Perform various clerical or administrative functions, such as ordering and maintaining an inventory of supplies.
* Transcribe recorded messages or practitioners' diagnoses or recommendations into patients' medical records.
* Compile and record medical charts, reports, or correspondence, using typewriter or personal computer.
* Schedule tests or procedures for patients, such as lab work or x-rays, based on physician orders.
* Arrange hospital admissions for patients.
* Prepare correspondence or assist physicians or medical scientists with preparation of reports, speeches, articles, or conference proceedings.
