Are you a 2L law student with an interest in personal injury law? Looking for an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a trial-focused law firm? The Flood Law Firm is offering a 12-week, paid Summer Internship, where you'll work closely with our experienced attorneys, gain practical skills, and be immersed in personal injury cases.

As a Law Clerk you will be part of our legal team, assisting with real cases and seeing firsthand how personal injury cases progress from investigation to trial. Your responsibilities will include:

• Drafting legal documents such as complaints, motions, and memoranda under attorney supervision.
• Conducting legal research and preparing case law summaries.
• Observing client meetings, depositions, hearings, and mediations to gain firsthand experience.
• Collaborating with attorneys and paralegals on special projects.
• Participating in legal training programs, professional development opportunities, CLE courses, and networking events.

Requirements

• Current 2L law student in good academic standing.

• Strong legal research and writing skills with attention to detail.

• Excellent time management and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.

• Strong interest for personal injury law.

• A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn.

Benefits

• Duration: 12 weeks, Summer 2025
• Location: Middletown, CT
• Schedule: Full-Time, Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Compensation: $22/hr
