Summer Internship - Library Clerk 

Salary Range:  $13.50 per hour ​
This position will perform a variety of tasks related to assisting with the children's summer reading programs, material circulation and collection management.   Average 15-20 hours per week.

Internship designed to attract local high school students within the Alabaster community meeting the minimum qualifications. 

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The physical activities required for this position involve:
Frequent standing, using hand and fingers, talking, and hearing. Occasional sitting, walking, reaching with hands and arms, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling to reach and lift materials.  Must be able to maneuver a loaded book truck weighing up to 100 pounds.
This position requires lifting:
Up to 25 pounds frequently; up to 50 pounds 
This position has the following special vision requirements:
Ability to read information both in print and electronically.
ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
The following physical conditions and hazards may be encountered while working in this position:
Exposure to dust and dirt.
