Summer Golf Course Intern
Golf Club in Key Largo, Florida is looking for a Summer Golf Course Intern.
Position Overview:
Expected to become core members of our maintenance team. Interns with a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and a willingness to learn will gain vital experience in managing two championship golf courses. This internship program is focused on getting each intern ready to make the transition to a full-time assistant position. The intern will work closely with the Assistant Superintendents and the Superintendents to make sure the courses meet the high standards set by our membership. Each intern will have the unique opportunity to receive hands on experience with every aspect of Golf Course Maintenance.
Be involved in every aspect of golf course maintenance, with particular emphasis on the following areas:
• Chemical/Fertilizer application and calibration.
• Moisture Management.
• Irrigation troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Warm season turf cultural practices.
Requirements:
Enrolled in a 2 year or 4 year Turf Management related field or Certificate program.
No experience required, but prior golf course experience is a plus.
Compensation:
$16 per hour.
Onsight housing, free golf, free/discounted meals, uniforms, plenty of OT, and getting to live that good island life in the Florida Keys.
