Job Description

Accredo Specialty Pharmacy, part of Evernorth Health Services , is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to join their team at our Memphis, TN site.

This role is worksite dependent and can only be performed onsite.

This position is 2nd shift Monday through Friday 1:30 pm – 10 pm CT

*Beginning January 2026, the shift would be Monday through Thursday (Friday off) 1:30 pm - 10:00 pm CT and Saturday 4 am - Noon CT.

Summary:

As a Staff Pharmacist with Accredo, you will interpret physicians' prescriptions and compound and dispense medications within regulatory guidelines. Manage the workflow in the Fulfillment operations to ensure accurate and timely dispensing of patient orders upon request. Through Standard Operating Procedure and Professional judgement handles complex problems to resolution. Requires a RPh license.

Roles & Responsibilities: Prepares medications by reviewing and interpreting physician orders and detecting therapeutic incompatibilities.

Dispenses medications by compounding, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals.

Controls medications by monitoring drug therapies; advising interventions.

Completes pharmacy operational requirements by organizing and directing technicians’ workflow, verifying their preparation and labeling of pharmaceuticals

Supervises the work results of support personnel.

Maintains current registration, studies existing and new legislation, anticipates legislation, and advises management on needed actions.

Protects patients and technicians by adhering to infection-control protocols.

Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Preferred Requirements:

Graduate degree from an accredited pharmacy college recognized by the American Council of Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE), BS in Pharmacy, or PHARMD

Valid state pharmacist license

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
