Senior Traffic Engineer

Position Overview
The Senior Traffic Engineer will be responsible for leading traffic engineering projects, conducting traffic analysis, and designing traffic signals. This role requires a keen understanding of traffic flow and safety principles, as well as the ability to manage projects and develop technical proposals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead traffic engineering projects from conception to completion.
• Conduct detailed traffic analysis to assess current and future traffic conditions.
• Design traffic signal systems to optimize traffic flow and enhance safety.
• Prepare and review technical proposals and reports for clients and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with project managers and other engineers to ensure project objectives are met.
• Stay updated on relevant regulations, such as NJDOT standards, and implement them in project designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in traffic engineering or related field.
• Strong knowledge of traffic analysis and traffic signal design.
• Familiarity with traffic modeling software and tools.
• Project management experience and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
