This creative, problem-solving individual will offer visual communication solutions for a range of strategic projects undertaken by the University Communications office. Responsibilities will include creative design and overall creative concepts and production for the execution of projects.
Reporting to the Director of Creative Strategy, we are seeking a Sr. Graphic Designer who will play a lead design role in cross-functional department that include graphic designers, writers, videographers, web designers and others. The person in this position must have excellent interpersonal communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively on creative projects, and have strong design skills and an aesthetic that demonstrates an understanding of current and emerging trends. It is essential the Sr. Graphic Designer have proven experience designing within brand guidelines. This position will have opportunities to work collaboratively with other designers on the University Communications creative team and to mentor junior members of the team.
The Sr. Graphic Designer will be responsible to design materials within Adobe Creative Suite and publish completed designs in the University-wide template portals: Marq and Canva for collateral and campaigns where specific elements must be locked, and others left open for partners across the University to tailor as needed.
The position will work closely with members of the University Communications team and will also maintain relationships with stakeholders across the University to maximize the team impact towards university-wide objectives.
