• Proficient in Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office products

• Experience with JD Edwards ERP system (preferred but not required)

Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare reports comparing standard costs to actuals
• Manage and enhance the cost accounting system
• Collect and analyze data to determine costs of business activities
• Participate and lead physical inventories, reporting results to the executive group
• Assist in month-end closing by preparing journal entries
• Collaborate with operations and engineering for costing and support of new product development
• Generate various ad hoc reports as requested by management
• Enhance standard cost reporting and variance analysis

Qualifications

• BS in accounting/finance
• 5+ years of manufacturing experience with a focus on cost accounting
• Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements
• Self-starter with strong relationship-building skills

Education Requirements

• Bachelors degree in accounting or finance

Education Requirements Credential Category

• Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field

Experience Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience in cost accounting within manufacturing
