Job Description  

CSCI Consulting is looking for a Senior Developer with at least 5 years of MainframeIDMSandCOBOL experience to support a federal project. 

 

Responsibilities  

  • Analyzes functional and technical requirements of proposedorexistingITsystemstodeterminethetechnical development or modification necessary to meet mission objectives.
  • Prepares systemchange/programmingspecifications,and specifies programming instructions, inputs and outputs, structures, and other analytical products to document the functional and technical requirements.
  • Prepares technicaldesigndocumentsandparticipatesin critical design reviews to study and verify impacts on current systems.
  • Analyzes andresolvessystemorsoftwarefailures.
  • Prepares andexecutestestsforsystemorsubsystem software validation.

Minimum Requirements

  • 5 years’ experience in Mainframe IDMS and COBOL.
  • A degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
  • Ability to work with clients to understand their needs.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

 

Preferred Skills  

  • Experience with DoD financial systems. 
  • Familiarity of Standard Financial Information Structure (SFIS) and Standard Line of Accounting (SLOA). 
  • Experience with Endevor. 
  • Capability to work in a team environment, as well as independently.
  • Ability to maintain a positive relationship with customers and other vendors.
  • Demonstrated ability to comply with data standards and policies.
  • Possess motivation to learn new technologies and methodologies that demonstrate value.
