Description:
JOB PURPOSE: Responsible for assisting with the design, implementation, and support of a Microsoft Windows server infrastructure in a multi-server (2,000 ) environment. Provides high-level server support at the Operating System and hardware level, server performance monitoring, server capacity planning, and overall connectivity. Also provides high-level technical support for a 1,500 client environment to include desktop standardization and support in the areas of client installations utilizing Microsoft SCCM, anti-virus and inventory software.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Provides administration and support for server infrastructure. 2. May provide Microsoft Windows server and desktop administration, such as: group policy administration, active directory administration, Citrix and VMware administration, Exchange administration, DNS administration, File & Print Servers administration, and emerging technologies. 3. Assist with monitoring server infrastructure through monitoring software, anti-virus software and software distribution tools. 4. Provides input to overall desktop standardization and maintenance strategy. Perform tasks to implement or maintain efforts in this area. 5. Provides support and assistance with hardware and virtualized environments. 6. Performs other duties as assigned. 7. Provides technical direction and input for group tasks, and completes needed work on time. Able to lead small group tasks. Is polite, fair, and tactful when working with others, and responds in a timely manner.

Qualifications:MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field required. In lieu of degree, four (4) years of relevant work experience will be accepted in addition to the experience requirement.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Four (4) years of progressive work experience in managing and administering Windows Servers, Active Directory, group policy, DNS and DHCP is required. (If no degree, a total of eight (8) years of experience required.)
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW: None.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: Microsoft, VMware, Citrix, Cloud, or other technology certifications preferred. Epic Client System Administrator certification and experience in healthcare information technology desirable.
