Be part of a team as a Sr. Advanced Project Engineer with the interest, aptitude, and experience associated with the design, development, integration, and qualification of Aerospace Actuation products leading Commercial and Defense programs within our Honeywell Control Systems product line. You will be a technical leader and primary decision maker for program cost, schedule, as well as technical issues. You will lead prioritization of work packages, design goals and objectives, and drive overall program performance throughout the development lifecycle.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Program/Project Management
• Cost account management skills in the SAP environment
• System and Component Requirements analysis and decomposition
• Control architecture and design
• Root cause and corrective action planning and execution
• Mechanical Systems validation & verification
• Customer technical interface
• Work with functional leaders to prioritize resources and implement project objectives

YOU MUST HAVE

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
• 8+ years of Engineering experience in Complex Aerospace Systems

WE VALUE

• Strong management operating system that facilitates communication, both internal and external
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
• Leadership Skills — specifically decision making, driving results, and bias for action
• Utilizes Six Sigma and program management tools as appropriate within the Integrated Product Development Systems (IPDS) framework
• Persuasion to influence others to accept new concepts, practices, and approaches
• Business acumen – knowledge of current and emerging practices, methods, and information relating to discipline and application within the industry
• Mechanical/Actuation Systems design and/or component controller integration
• Physics based model development and system design
• Experience with DOORs and/or Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
