Essential Duties & Responsibilities: - Use performance software to size compressor frames and cylinders.
- Design and size pressure vessels, pipe spools, scrubbers, and pulsation bottles per ASME Section VIII standards.
- Collaborate with vendors for component sizing, quotes, and lead times.
- Create quote and shop drawings with engineers from supplied specifications.
- Work from various drawings and specifications (customer, company, government).
- Create and maintain BOMs within the ERP system.
- Advise welders and assemblers, ensuring overall package quality.
- Design parts and assemblies based on engineer descriptions.
- Draft sheet-metal components for housings.
- Create drawings for manuals and engineering projects.
Qualifications: - Associate’s degree or technical trade school completion in CAD, drafting, or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- Minimum 10 years of compressor/compressor packaging experience.
- Electrical design experience is a plus but not required.
- Proficient in SolidWorks and AutoCAD preferred.
- Ability to read, interpret, and use standards and customer documentation.
- Capable of working with minimal supervision and self-checking work.
- Able to electronically receive and transmit drawings, with or without CAD software translation.
