Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Use performance software to size compressor frames and cylinders.
• Design and size pressure vessels, pipe spools, scrubbers, and pulsation bottles per ASME Section VIII standards.
• Collaborate with vendors for component sizing, quotes, and lead times.
• Create quote and shop drawings with engineers from supplied specifications.
• Work from various drawings and specifications (customer, company, government).
• Create and maintain BOMs within the ERP system.
• Advise welders and assemblers, ensuring overall package quality.
• Design parts and assemblies based on engineer descriptions.
• Draft sheet-metal components for housings.
• Create drawings for manuals and engineering projects.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree or technical trade school completion in CAD, drafting, or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
• Minimum 10 years of compressor/compressor packaging experience.
• Electrical design experience is a plus but not required.
• Proficient in SolidWorks and AutoCAD preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret, and use standards and customer documentation.
• Capable of working with minimal supervision and self-checking work.
• Able to electronically receive and transmit drawings, with or without CAD software translation.
