Job Title: Social Services Assistant Facility: Charming Lakes Rehabilitation
Location: Lakeland, Florida
Shift: Part-Time (4 hours/day, Monday-Friday)
Salary: $16 - $20 per hour
Job Description: Charming Lakes Rehabilitation is seeking a compassionate and dedicated
Social Services Assistant to join our team. This position plays a key role in supporting the Social Services Department by helping plan, organize, and implement services that improve the quality of life for our residents. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in the daily operations of the Social Services Department in compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations
- Support discharge planning, care plan development, and resident assessments
- Collaborate with administration, medical, and nursing staff on resident needs
- Encourage resident and family involvement in care plans and care plan meetings
- Help educate staff on Residents’ Rights and promote dignity and respect
- Follow infection control protocols and report any exposures
- Participate in emergency preparedness and safety trainings
- Complete required training and maintain current CPR/First Aid certification
Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a nursing home or healthcare setting preferred, but not required
- Basic computer skills
- Strong communication skills in English (spoken and written)
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to stay calm and professional under pressure
- Team player with a positive and compassionate attitude
