Job Description

SUMMARY
The Shipping/Receiving Clerk is responsible for communicating with the drivers and assigning inbound and outbound loads to specific doors and staging lanes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Check truck drivers in and out
Assign dock doors for inbound/outbound activity according to warehouse direction and vendor assignment in the warehouse
Verify the accuracy of all shipping/receiving documentation. Partner with the inventory department to resolve any issues
Assist in appointment scheduling as needed
Update required reports on a timely basis
Communicate with customers and assist with customer needs
Other duties as required or assigned

RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordinate inbound and outbound loads
Performs other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE
Two (2) years or more experience SAP and Warehouse Management System (WMS) preferred

SKILLS

Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors).
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills.
Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices

KNOWLEDGE

Excellent PC skills in MS Office; intermediate level.
SAP and Warehouse Management System (WMS) knowledge; intermediate level; preferred.
