Job Description

SUMMARY
The Shipping/Receiving Clerk is responsible for communicating with the drivers and assigning inbound and outbound loads to specific doors and staging lanes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Check truck drivers in and out
  • Assign dock doors for inbound/outbound activity according to warehouse direction and vendor assignment in the warehouse
  • Verify the accuracy of all shipping/receiving documentation. Partner with the inventory department to resolve any issues
  • Assist in appointment scheduling as needed
  • Update required reports on a timely basis
  • Communicate with customers and assist with customer needs
  • Other duties as required or assigned

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate inbound and outbound loads
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE
Two (2) years or more experience SAP and Warehouse Management System (WMS) preferred

SKILLS
  • Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors).
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices

KNOWLEDGE

  • Excellent PC skills in MS Office; intermediate level.
  • SAP and Warehouse Management System (WMS) knowledge; intermediate level; preferred.
