Facility: Central Patient Building Location: Sioux Falls, SD Address: 1305 W 18th St, Sioux Falls, SD 57105, USA Shift: Weekend Job Schedule: Part time Weekly Hours: 12.00 Salary Range: $15.00 - $23.00 Job Summary Provides a variety of support activities for the Health Information Management (HIM) Department, including birth certificate completion, paternity affidavit completion, updating medical record with infant names and filing birth certificates for the state. Works with health information in multiple, diverse environments - main job duty is collecting information and assisting parents in the completion of birth certificates in the Birth Place. Monitors progress continuously and adjusts tactics for handling situations on a case by case basis. Retrieves and uses the data of healthcare information systems correctly and legally. Provides assistance with a variety of duties within the department including data entry, copying, and retrieving of documents from other hospital departments. Prior experience in healthcare environment preferred. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Associate's degree in Health Information or Medical Record Technology preferred.
