We are seeking a seasoned leader to fill the role of Senior Director, Facilities & Real Estate Strategy. This critical position will provide vision and leadership for all Facilities functions within our organization, collaborating with key leaders to deliver best-in-class Facilities & Real Estate solutions. The successful candidate will drive strategy and execution for operating efficiencies, business continuity, and cost-saving strategies, while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

This position requires an experienced business leader who has a track record in building effective teams, has demonstrated successful collaboration across a matrixed organization, and possesses a unique blend of process and strategic capability. The ideal candidate will combine intelligence, experience, confidence, humility, and a strong work ethic to build on the group s solid foundation. This role reports to the ES Deputy Vice President and leads a function of 300+ employees.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic leadership for all real estate transactions and management, collaborating with internal and external resources
  • Ensure real estate assets and infrastructure meet business needs
  • Oversee strategic space planning, facilities project design, engineering, and construction management activities
  • Lead expansion activities, including identification and construction of new major sites and capital projects
  • Develop and drive financial results from an optimized real estate strategy
  • Lead strategic infrastructure plans and operations, with a 5-year time horizon
  • Ensure all work environments are suitable, cost-effective, well-maintained, compliant, and safe
  • Lead facilities organization with a focus on staff development
  • Lead all Net Zero initiatives
Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with sector leadership, business area leaders, and other stakeholders to ensure proper service models are in place for Facilities services
  • Oversee financial performance on multiple Capital and Expense budgets, with total annual spend responsibility of ~$450m
  • Frequently brief status updates to Executive Leadership Teams
  • Develop financial forecasts, track and report on performance
  • Oversee selection, training, and development of 300+ Facilities employees
  • Ensure compliance with all municipal, county, state, and federal regulatory agencies for environmental and code requirements
  • Oversee Facilities engineering design and construction of new facilities and alterations to existing facilities
  • Lead large-scale contract development and negotiation pertaining to Real Estate, in collaboration with procurement and legal teams
  • Direct planning, response, and recovery operations for emergency situations and disaster recovery
  • Staying up-to-date with new workspace concepts to drive innovation, collaboration, and occupational efficiency

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, Master's degree preferred
  • 15+ years of related work experience in Facilities Operations and/or Project Management
  • Ability to apply strong written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills at every level of the business
  • Experience leading multiple functions in a matrixed organization
  • 10+ years' experience leading and managing large teams and projects in a fast-paced and high-growth environment
  • Proven experience in managing expense and capital budgets in excess of $100M annually
  • Broad knowledge of business areas, manufacturing spaces, commercial sub-functions
  • Knowledge and application of environmental, health, and safety regulations and familiarity with regulatory agencies' protocols
  • Familiarity with Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705 space requirements

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • PE/Engineering license, MB1FM, CPE, or CEM certification
  • M.B.A. or related advanced degree
  • Experience with industry-specific software and systems
  • Familiarity with Lean principles and process improvement methodologies

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $196296 - $333704

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
