Senior Procurement Specialist - Electronics, PCB/PCA

We have a current role open for a Senior Purchasing/Procurement Specialist in our facility in the Tustin, CA area. This professional, as part of the larger supply-chain team, will be responsible for managing the procurement process for electronic components and materials, ensuring that quality standards are met while optimizing cost and delivery timelines. This role involves strategic sourcing, supplier negotiation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to support production and supply chain efficiency.
Key Responsibilities - Develop and implement procurement strategies for electronic components including PCBs, PCAs, wire cables, finished goods, and raw materials.
- Conduct supplier evaluations and negotiate contracts to secure the best prices and terms.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to understand material needs and timelines.
- Utilize ERP and MRP systems to manage inventory levels and procurement processes effectively.
- Monitor market trends and supplier performance to ensure continuous improvement in supply chain management.
- Lead initiatives for cost reduction and process optimization within the procurement function.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is DESIRED.
- We would prefer a more seasoned Supply Chain pro, with anywhere from 3- 5 years, OR MORE, of experience in procurement, with a focus on electronics and components.
- Strong understanding of purchasing, procurement, and supply chain management principles.
- Experience with ERP and MRP systems to manage procurement processes.
- Proven negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain supplier relationships.
- Knowledge of QCBD practices and methodologies in procurement.
Previous experience working within the Aerospace, or DOD/Defense related industries would be a major plus.
