Senior BI Business Analyst Description

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior BI Business Analyst to join our dynamic team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and analyzing business, functional, and technical requirements across various projects, utilizing Agile methodologies. This position requires a proactive approach to collaboration with both technical and non-technical team members, as well as strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Elicit, analyze, and document business, functional, and technical requirements using Agile methodologies
• Manage requirements traceability and coverage, ensuring transparent communication between all teams involved
• Profile and analyze data sources in cooperation with data modellers and architects
• Collaborate daily with the development team, Project Manager, and Scrum Master
• Acquire and distribute Business domain knowledge while providing consultancy to other team members
• Oversee and facilitate acceptance and functional testing as well as the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) process with customers and the Delivery Team
• Implement and manage a Change management procedure
• Lead small teams and occasionally run customer workshops onsite

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst, with over 1 year in project key roles dealing directly with Business stakeholders
• Background in Data & Analytics projects including Data Lake, Data Warehouse, BI, and data science products
• Proficiency in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including methodologies such as Waterfall, Kanban, and Scrum
• Knowledge of various estimation techniques, along with their pros, cons, and limitations
• Understanding of the essential artifacts required for UAT in data projects and the associated procedures
• Desire for full project ownership and the ability to work with minimal supervision
• Skills in SQL and a solid understanding of DWH and Data Lake concepts
• Excellent communication skills with the capability to present work results to senior stakeholders

Nice to have

• Practical experience with BI tools like Tableau or Power BI
• Expertise in conducting discovery workshops with business users and IT specialists, such as Data Architects and Solution Architects
