Job Description

Avion Solutions Inc., an employee-owned company, seeks candidates for a Senior Aviation Analyst to support the Cargo PM. This position is based in Huntsville, AL.

Job Responsibilities/Duties:

• Review and develop system design requirements.
• Review hardware, software, and system design documentation.
• Write, review, and make inputs to Statements of Work (SOWs), design specifications, and user manuals.
• Participate in Technical Interchange Meetings (TIM), Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR), Critical Design Reviews (CDR), and Test Readiness Reviews (TRR).
• Review software-related issues in safety documentation such as System Safety Risk Assessment (SSRA), System Safety Hazard Analysis (SSHA), Functional Hazard Assessment (FHA), Failure Mode, and Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA).
• Provide test witnessing.
• Review hardware, software, and systems test plans, test procedures, and test reports.
• Review airworthiness documentation such as Airworthiness Qualification Plan (AQP), Airworthiness Qualification Specification (AQS), Plan for Software Aspects of Certification (PSAC), Software Accomplishment Summary (SAS), and Airworthiness Release (AWR).
• Support the Government in developing guidance, processes, practices, and requirements for Navigation and Airworthiness Qualification.
• Review and research new source approvals for hardware and systems.
• Review Modification Work Orders and other aircraft integration documentation.

Required Experience:

• BS+9 or HS+13 years of experience in Army Aviation.
• Must have experience as an Army helicopter maintainer.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Experience in requirements definition, Acceptance and Qualification test plan, procedure and report development/review, and airworthiness.
• Detailed knowledge of Army airworthiness process regulations AR 70-62 and DA PAM 738-751.
• Familiarity with aircraft operations and technical manuals.
• Must be a US Citizen and have/able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
• Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time. US travel only.
