Senior Airport Electrical Engineer to join our team and work
Remotely. We are currently seeking a Senior Airport Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves engaging in design projects at airports nationwide, specifically focusing on the design and construction of ground-based airfield lighting systems and navigational aids. This position is cross listed with a similar Civil Engineering Position.

How will you contribute to the team?- Lead and support coordination with diverse design teams and multi-discipline sub-consultants during both design and construction phases.
- Develop plans, specifications, reports, and engineer's estimates for various aviation-related projects, encompassing both airside and landside components.
- Oversee design elements, including airfield lighting, airfield lighting vault design, NAVAID design, apron lighting, and phasing plans.
- Conduct or supervise personnel involved in engineering investigations.
- Analyze technical problems, assess the feasibility of proposed techniques and procedures, and devise new approaches and alternative solutions.
- Ensure quality control by maintaining high standards in all work produced, and reviewing designs and drawings performed by others.
- Coordinate work with other engineers and professionals within and outside your discipline, as well as support services staff.
- Act as the design representative during project Construction Administration, delegating and tracking submittals and RFIs, and attending regular construction update meetings with clients.
- Occasionally manage projects, analyzing project dimensions and scope, and preparing or overseeing the preparation of cost and manpower estimates, schedules, and job budgets.
What will you contribute?- Current P.E. license is mandatory (Civil or Electrical Mechanical Industrial System or Architectural preferred, but accepting of various P.E. licensure)
- 10 years of experience since bachelor's or 9 years since Master's; typically, incumbents have 5 to 10 years of experience.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering.
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to develop technical writing and communication skills.
- 3+ years of airfield lighting, technical lighting, electrical distribution, design, or construction experience considered.
- Detailed knowledge of airport design standards, including FAA Advisory Circulars and FAA Orders, is strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to manage large-scope operations and provide leadership to multiple levels of management and technical professionals.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office and knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Travel will be required.

The expected compensation range is between $115,000 - $180,000 annually/hourly, depending on skills, industry specific experience, and geographical location. Upon acceptance of an offer, all candidates must go through a drug screen test and background check. AtkinsRéalis is a federal contractor which mandates a satisfactory background screening report and drug test that supersedes state laws.
