In the role of HSE and Security Specialist you'll play a pivotal part in ensuring the Safety and Security of the Denton site. You'll have the opportunity to administer, influence, and improve policies and procedures related to health, safety, environment, and physical security. This position contributes to our vision by:

  • Performing daily management of HSE process requirements on the manufacturing shop floor and making routine facility tours and safety inspections to ensure safe work practices are being observed
  • Supporting and implementing strategies to establish and improve safety and environmental compliance practices
  • Performing risk assessments and completing detailed accident/incident investigations with root cause analysis, and develop corrective action plans
  • Managing the worker's compensation program, working closing with insurance carriers and external health care professionals.
  • Managing the packaging, distribution, storage, treatment, and disposal of hazardous materials and performing site emergency response and remediation activities related to working with hazardous materials
  • Administering and supporting the access control, fire, and alarm systems and video surveillance equipment
  • Ensuring compliance to physical security standards and conducting security investigations

Job requirements

Safran Electrical & Power looks for service-oriented team players with strong interpersonal skills, the right attitude and adaptability to an innovative and evolving environment.



  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in Occupational or Industrial Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, Security Management, Business, or a related field and 0 - 2 years experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Requires experience with access control and video surveillance
  • HazMat and OSHA 30 certification preferred, CSP or similar certification is a plus
  • Requires advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other MS Office product as well as the ability to run and analyze reports and data
  • Requires effective communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work across all levels of the organization
  • Requires advanced knowledge and proficiency in HSE and Security trends and practices, and demonstrated experience managing large projects
  • Up to 15% travel may be required
