Job Description

Title: Scrum Master
Location: Erie, PA (Onsite from Day 1)

Duration: Long Term

Visa: Any

Experience: 10+ Years

Domain : P&C Insurance (Must)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Support the team in following Agile practices and principles, fostering self-organization and accountability.
  • Collaborate with the Product Owner to manage and prioritize the product backlog effectively.
  • Identify and remove obstacles that impede the team's progress and work to ensure the team remains focused on achieving sprint goals.
  • Coach team members and stakeholders on Agile principles, promoting continuous improvement and growth.
  • Ensure clear and open communication within the Scrum team and with external stakeholders.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track team progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Help the team maintain a sustainable pace of work and ensure the delivery of high-quality products.
  • Foster a collaborative, supportive, and productive team environment.
  • Promote a culture of transparency, feedback, and continuous learning within the team.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • P&C insurance Domain experience is must.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, and other Agile methodologies.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification is highly preferred.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced Agile environment.
  • Excellent facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on removing impediments and fostering self-organization.
  • Familiarity with Agile tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Trello, or similar.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
