Job Description
Sales Engineer / Area Sales Manager / Outside Sales Manager is required to join a leading distributor and developer of industrial compressor and pump equipment.
The ideal candidate for the Sales Engineer / Area Sales Manager / Outside Sales Manager role will come from a mechanical sales background or have previous experience selling a range of industrial pump and compressor products. This includes oil-lubricated reciprocating compressors, oil-free screw air compressors, portable compressors, vacuum pumps, dryers, filtration systems, blowers, cooling water systems, and general air movement products. Experience with industrial rotating equipment would also be highly regarded.
Sales Engineer / Area Sales Manager / Outside Sales Manager - this role is based in around the 94 corridor, covering areas such as Hudson, Menomonie, Eau Claire, Hastings, or Stillwater, covering the local area and working with a wide range of industries including food and beverage, pharmaceutical, chemical, oil and gas, automotive, aerospace, and general manufacturing.

$90,000 - $100,000 Base + Commission

Sales Engineer / Area Sales Manager / Outside Sales Manager Role:
- Covering 94 corridor, covering areas such as Hudson, Menomonie, Eau Claire, Hastings, or Stillwater, managing and developing an existing client base, with the ability to bring on new profitable clients.
- Selling a range of industrial pumps and compressor products such as oil-lubricated reciprocating compressors, oil-free screw air compressors, portable compressors, vacuum pumps, dryers, filtration systems, blowers, cooling water systems, and general air movement products. An industrial rotating equipment background would be considered.
- Identifying and acquiring new market potential.
- Liaising with internal and external sales teams, as well as engineering departments when required.
- Working with industries such as food and beverage, healthcare, power, chemicals, and other engineering manufacturing sectors.
- Selling a wide variety of compressed air, pump, and control-related products to contractors, OEMs, end-users, and distributors.
- Travel will be required within the North Illinois (Peoria, Bloomington) area and potentially neighbouring regions.
Sales Engineer / Area Sales Manager / Outside Sales Manager Requirements:
- Experience as a Sales Engineer, Area Sales Manager, Business Development Manager, Technical Sales Engineer, Outside Sales Manager, Territory Manager.
- An engineering qualification would be beneficial.
- Knowledge of air movement products and the local market would be ideal.
- Experience selling compressor products such as oil-lubricated reciprocating compressors, oil-free screw air compressors, portable compressors, vacuum pumps, dryers, filtration systems, and general air movement products.
- Experience in external sales roles serving industries such as food and beverage, healthcare, power, chemicals, and other manufacturing sectors.
- Must be located in the 94 corridor, covering areas such as Hudson, Menomonie, Eau Claire, Hastings, or Stillwater,
